Orzhovian Endings

Razel calmly strode through the extravagant doubledoors, ignoring the affirmative nod from the guards which flanked it in lieu of maintaining his haughty demeanor. The office within was just as extra as the engravings leading to it, the woman at the desk not bothering to look up from her paperwork as he took his place a few paces from her seat.
Teysa shuffled a few papers, not acknowledging him aside from her speech.
"I've spoken to a multitude of individuals and I wanted to give you the chance to explain your actions."
"I wasn't aware my actions required explanation."
"You chased a duplicate of yourself in full public view before the both of you disappeared."
"How do you know it was a duplicate?"
"There were two of you, Razel. Pomas was quite clear on that."
At this she looked him dead in the eyes. He shuffled a bit before finally responding.
"I had circumstances outside of the city which required it."
"So you ARE a Planeswalker?"
"You should have known that already due to our agreement."
"I didn't know there were so many more of you, or that your businesses could threaten the whole city."
"To be fair, I left the city to prevent exactly this sort of thing."
"Your kind demolished uncountable buildings and caused havoc the likes of which put our own hauntings to shame."
"Except *I* didn't. I left."
She glowered at him and lowered her documents.
"You are lucky enough to have balanced your debt with us. Still, you wore our sigil and knowingly caused a commotion which is STILL discussed in certain circles as a possible precursor to the Dragon's overlay."
At mention of his nemesis he bristled, but it quickly faded into a satisfied grin.
"That asshole got what he deserved."
"So you knew him?"
Razel stuttered, unsure of the safest response. After a moment of consideration, he replied.
"I knew OF him, yes, but he is part of why I had a habit of disappearing in the first place."
She maintined eye contact and crossed her arms irritably.
"You owe me an explanation."
"I owe you nothing."
She replied with narrow eyes.
"This isn't simple accounting. You misled me and by extension the syndicate."
"Did you not work with Kara?"
It was her turn to bristle.
"Only due to an assumption of your kind brought about by YOU."
"Your assumptions are not my problem."
Tense silence hung between them.
